This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 3380 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 136 km². It has no known threats, and is therefore listed as Least Concern.

Range
This species is endemic to South Africa, and is found in central Namaqualand in the Northern Cape. It is centred in the Kamiesberg and extends from Mesklip, south of Springbok to Kamieskroon and Garies.
