This species is widespread and not declining. In South Africa, it has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 376 722 km². It has no known threats, and is therefore listed as Least Concern.

Range
This species is found in Botswana, Namibia (where it is common and widespread), South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. In South Africa, it is found from Kimberley to the Soutpansberg.
