Justification
This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 21 067 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 156 km². Despite having lost 24% of its habitat there are still many subpopulations remaining, It is known from more than 40 subpopulations and is therefore listed as Least Concern.

Range
This species is endemic to South Africa, and is found in the Western Cape, between Swellendam and George in the southern Cape, south of the Langberg-Outeniqua Mountain axis.

Description
It occurs on lower mountain slopes and coastal hills.
Threats
This species has lost 24% of its habitat (calculated using landcover data in GIS) to agriculture. It is also threatened by invasive alien species.
Population

There are 43 recent records of this species posted on iNaturalist from across this species' range. The population is declining due to habitat conversion to agriculture and habitat degradation to invasive alien plants.
