Population

It is known from only a handful of collections, all from the same site. The population has a stable trend. Surveys between 2016 and 2018 noted 230 mature individuals however the actual number is likely to be higher as the vegetation at the time of surveys was senescent and this species, like others in this genus, flowers most profusely after fire, hence an accurate determination of population size is only possible once the site has been burnt.
