Justification
This is a montane habitat specialist, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 1282 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 20 km². It is known from five subpopulations, but is likely under recorded as this species flowers mainly after fire. It is not threatened, and is therefore listed Least Concern.

An endemic to Western Cape province of South Africa, extending from the Grootwinterhoek Mountains to the Hottentots Holland Mountains. It is also found in the Slanghoek, Riviersonderend and Langeberg mountains.

Description
It occurs in rocky, sandy ground at mid- to upper elevations in mountain fynbos, flowering mainly after fire.

This species has no known threats.
