Justification
This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 330 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 36 km². It is known from five threat base locations and the population is declining due to habitat loss to the cultivation of wheat, rooibos tea and potatoes. It is therefore listed as Endangered under criterion B.

An endemic to the Piketberg area of Western Cape province, South Africa, where it occurs on the lower slopes and flats east and west of the range and on the lower slopes of the Olifants River Mountains.

Description
It occurs on seasonally wet to marshy flats, mainly on sandy ground.
Threats
It has lost 76% of its habitat (calculated using landcover data in GIS). It is threatened by ongoing habitat loss to expanding cultivation of wheat, rooibos tea and potatoes.

The population has a decreasing trend, and is known from five subpopulations.
