Justification
This restricted range species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 318 km² and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 32 km². It is known from eight subpopulations and is not threatened as it occurs mostly within the Cederberg Wilderness Area. It is therefore listed globally as Least Concern and nationally, as Rare.

An endemic to the Western Cape Province of South Africa found in the Pakhuis Mountains and the hill slopes in the Biedouw Valley and near Wuppertal.

Description
It occurs on seasonally moist, south-facing shale slopes.
Threats
This species lost 12% of its habitat to crop cultivation in the past, however loss is not ongoing and remaining subpopulations are not threatened. It occurs mostly within the Cederberg Wilderness Area.

The population has a stable trend. It is known from eight subpopulations.
