Justification
This habitat specialist has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 80 km² and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 20 km². It is known from three subpopulations that all occur within protected areas. It is therefore not threatened and is listed under the IUCN 3.1 criteria as Least Concern. Nationally, it is categorised as Rare.

It is found along streams in shade at around 1800 m elevation, flowering near the end of summer.
Threats
This species has a slight future potential threat from the combined effects of frequent fires and drought.
