Justification
This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 34,745 km² and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 416 km². Although it has lost a small proportion of its habitat, the population remains stable, and it is known to exist in at least 35 subpopulations. Therefore, it is listed as Least Concern.

It is widespread along the lower slopes of the western mountains of the Western Cape, South Africa, from Gifberg to Gordon's Bay.

Description
It occurs on stony sandstone slopes in fynbos, flowering stimulated by fire.
Threats
A small proportion of this species' habitat has been lost to agriculture (wood plantations and crops), degraded by livestock, and invaded by alien plant species.

It is known from at least 35 subpopulations and has a stable population trend.
