A rare, range-restricted species (EOO 2925 km²), occurring at between 10 and 20 locations and declining due to ongoing habitat degradation.

Description
Rocky karroid slopes.
Threats
Some subpopulations, particularly in the western part of this species' range, occur in areas degraded due to severe overgrazing (J.H. Vlok pers. comm.).
Population

A rare and seldom collected species, but may also be overlooked as plants grow sheltered among the base of shrubs. The species occurs as scattered individuals.
