Justification
Romulea komsbergensis has an estimated nine to 15 locations which continue to decline due to ongoing habitat loss to agricultural expansion. It has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 2001 km². It is therefore listed as Near Threatened.

This species is endemic to South Africa, and is found in the Roggeveld Escarpment, Komsberg Pass to Middelpos.

Description
It grows in seasonally damp clay flats, at 1400 m.
Threats
Romulea komsbergensis is restricted to seasonally moist clays, a habitat that is undergoing ongoing loss due to crop cultivation.
Population

This species is known from nine locations, but there are large areas of suitable, but unexplored habitat between known locations, and therefore it is highly likely that more subpopulations exist.
