Justification
This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of less than 200 km² and is known from two locations. It is potentially threatened by expansion of rooibos cultivation on the Gifberg. It therefore qualifies as Vulnerable under criterion D.

Description
Plants grow in moist areas on rocky sandstone pavement.
Threats
It is potentially threatened by activities associated with expanding rooibos tea cultivation, which could possibly affect the availability of moisture on the seep areas of the sandstone plateau, as well as cause damage due to large machinery driving over sandstone pavements.
