Description
Granitic or sandy gravel flats.
Threats
Subpopulations around Vanrhynsdorp are threatened by habitat loss to crop cultivation and mining, and around Citrusdal, agricultural expansion is also causing ongoing habitat loss. Most subpopulations of this species however occurs in remote areas where it is not threatened.
Population

A rare species, occurring as small, isolated subpopulations scattered over a wide area. Most of its range, particularly the northern part, is remote and remains botanically poorly explored, and more surveys may indicate that it is more common than what the few, scattered collections indicate.
