This species has no immediate threats (N.A. Helme pers. obs. 2011).
Population

This species is currently known from a single, localized subpopulation. Similar, suitable habitat in this species' range remains poorly explored, and it is likely to occur westwards to the Stalberg, and further south to the foothills of the Rooiberg (N.A. Helme pers. comm. 2014).
