Population |
This species is a localized habitat specialist, but locally common in suitable habitat. The plant appears to reproduce entirely vegetatively, and form clonal clusters. Flowering and growth appears to be stimulated by good rainfall, with subpopulations appearing much smaller in years of drought (J.G. Claassens pers. obs.).
