Justification | This Northern Swartland endemic has lost over 80% of its habitat to crop cultivation over the past 120 years. There are only three remaining lowland locations where this species occurs and fewer than 250 mature individuals are extant. |

Threats |
Only three locations remain after more than 80% of this species' habitat has been converted to crop fields. Two subpopulations are protected, one in a private and the other in a provincial nature reserve, and the third is on a privately owned farm where habitat loss to agricultural expansion is ongoing. |
Population |
About 100 plants is protected in a private nature reserve, and a few more occur in a nearby provincial nature reserve. A third subpopulation of between 100 and 200 plants occur on a privately owned farm near Wolseley.
