Justification
Although this species has a restricted range in South Africa, it also extends northwards into Namibia. A small proportion of the population is threatened by habitat loss to mining, but this species is unlikely to be in danger of extinction.

Description
Deep sands along the coast, but also occurring further inland to rocky places near streams.
Population

Known from only a few collections, however, this species occurs in a very remote area and some subpopulations are likely to be overlooked.
