Justification
This Cape endemic has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 86 330 km². Observations on the iNaturalist platform over the past decade show that this species has many more subpopulations than previously known and it remains too common and widespread to list as threatened. It is therefore listed as Least Concern.

This species has a wide distribution in the Northern, Western and Eastern Cape provinces of South Africa.

Description
It grows in alkaline coastal sands and granite outcrops.
Threats
The habitat of this species is vulnerable to loss and degradation from agricultural expansion, infrastructure development, and invasion by alien invasive plants.
