Description
Scrambler among woody shrubs, associated with dolerite outcrops in montane grassland.
Threats
Montane grasslands within the known range of this species are ± 28% transformed, mainly to forestry plantations. Although forestry plantations are sporadically expanding, it is unlikely to cause significant decline of this locally common species, with many subpopulations protected in conservation areas. The specialized habitat of this species, rocky outcrops, is also protecting it from overgrazing and too frequent fires, used to stimulate grass growth in rangelands.
Population

Localized, but locally common in suitable habitat. The population is not suspected to be declining.

Stable
