Justification
A widespread and common species, particularly on the Cape Peninsula, where its habitat is also well protected. Although some subpopulations on coastal flats are threatened, this species is not in danger of extinction.

Description
Wetlands on coastal flats, seepage areas on mountain slopes.
Threats
Subpopulations on coastal lowlands in the Southern Overberg and Agulhas Plain have undoubtedly been impacted by urban expansion, agriculture and alien invasive plants, but these threats affect only a relatively small proportion of the population.

Common, particularly on the Cape Peninsula and not suspected to be declining.
