Justification
Historically occurred from Fish Hoek to the Cape Flats and Stellenbosch. There has been at least an 80% decline in habitat over the past 90 years (generation length is probably longer than 30 years) as a result of urban expansion throughout its former range. There is an continuing decline of habitat quality due to alien plant invasion and eutrophication at the only remaining subpopulation on Kenilworth Racecourse.
