Justification
A range-restricted habitat specialist, locally common in a few river gorges. It has no serious threats due to inaccessibility of its habitat.

Description
Pondoland scarp forest, restricted to Msikaba Formation Sandstone, on rocky riverbanks, always overhanging water, 200-500 m.
Threats
This species generally occurs in inaccessible places at the bottom of steep gorges, and therefore it is under no severe threat (T. Abbott pers. comm.).
Population

Locally very common, especially on banks of the Icwaka River (Van Wyk and Archer 1987), each subpopulation exceeds 200 individuals (Scott-Shaw 1999).
