Range
This species occurs along the Mpumalanga Drakensberg Escarpment between Blyde River Canyon and Barberton, as well as in the coastal and scarp forests of southern KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape. It also occurs in eSwatini (Swaziland).

Description
It occurs in coastal and scarp forests, as well as riparian thicket, 0-1000 m.
