This species has a limited distribution in South Africa, but is widespread and common in Namibia.

Description
Deep sandy soils in dry watercourses.
Population

This species is widespread and fairly common across the Namib Desert (Meeuse 1962). In the Richtersveld it is known from only a few historical collections, but may be overlooked.
