This species is endemic to South Africa, and is widespread across the Western and Eastern Cape provinces, occurring from Bokkeveld Escarpment near Nieuwoudtville to Vredenburg and the Cape Peninsula, and eastwards along the coastal lowlands to Port Alfred.
