Justification | This poorly known species was last collected more than 200 years ago. No precise locality details were given, and its habitat is unknown. Much of the area where it is thought to have been collected is now irreversibly modified, and dedicated searches for this species have thus far been unsuccessful. It is undoubtedly very rare and likely to be threatened. |

Threats |
No precise locality is given on the only known specimen, but the area in which it was collected is now extensively modified due to dam construction, crop cultivation and infested with alien invasive plants. |
Population |
Known only from the type collection, made in the late 1700s, from an area now highly transformed. Searches for this species by volunteers of the Custodians of Rare and Endangered Wildflowers (CREW) have thus far been fruitless.
