Justification
This species has a localized distribution, occurring only on the southern part of the Bokkeveld escarpment. It is not threatened as it occurs on rocky slopes that can't be ploughed. It is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1 Criteria, globally, as Least Concern but is nationally categorised as Rare.
