Range
This species occurs in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, extending to eSwatini (Swaziland), where it occurs predominantly along the Lebombo Mountains on the eastern border of the country. It extends to the Barberton region in eastern Mpumalanga, and possibly also occurs in adjacent areas in southern Mozambique.

Description
It occurs in shallow soils on rocky slopes in montane grassland and open woodland, or in rock crevices on steep cliffs.
