Justification
EOO and AOO < 3.5 km². Previously known from several sites between Cape Town and Paarl, but these have all been destroyed by urban development. We suspect that it has lost 80% of its habitat in the past 30 years (generation length 10 years). It is now known from Riverlands Nature Reserve where invasive alien plants continue to cause slow but ongoing degradation of its habitat.

Threats
Previously recorded from several localities between Cape Town and Paarl, these have all been destroyed by urban expansion. The species is now known only from Riverlands Nature Reserve. This small fragment of lowland fynbos is surrounded by dense infestations of alien invasive acacias. Alien plants have been cleared in the reserve, but intensive, continued management is required to prevent re-invasion and protect the last remaining subpopulation from extinction.
