Justification
Known from one mountain range within the Klein Swartberg Reserve (EOO 7.5 km², AOO <1 km²). This reseeding species is potentially threatened by too frequent fires.

Threats
This rare reseeder is potentially vulnerable to too frequent fires, a few of this species' subpopulations have burnt repeatedly in the past 20 years (J.H. Vlok pers. obs).
