Range
Extremely widespread along the Southern African coast, from Lambert's Bay in the Western Cape through the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal into southern Mozambique, extending only a short distance inland in the Eastern Cape.

Description
Sandy soils, in fynbos, coastal scrub, on forest margins and sometimes in savanna or open woodland. Altitude sea level up to 1200 m.
Threats
Declining along the coast due to coastal development, not currently causing declines that will place this species in a threatened category.
