Threats
This species occurs in protected montane habitat and is not threatened.
Population

This short-lived and rarely recorded herb seems to only appear in the first two to four years after fire, and may easily be overlooked elsewhere. The most recent observation (2010) recorded only 200-300 plants (N.A. Helme, pers. obs.).
