Justification
This species is only known from one site and occurs on mountain slopes and is not threatened. It is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1. criteria as Least Concern but is nationally recognised as Critically Rare.

Description
Plants grow on damp earth banks along incised streams in montane grassland, 1600-2000 m.
Threats
This species has no known threats.
Population

This species is known from two subpopulations, one in the Kamberg area of the uKhahlamba Drakensberg National Park, the second in the Mkhomazi area. It is a localized habitat specialist, but locally common in suitable habitat.
