Justification
An extremely rare and range-restricted (EOO 347 km²) habitat specialist, with an estimated population size of fewer than 250 mature individuals, but not threatened or suspected to be declining.

Description
Sheltered rocky crevices on upper south-facing slopes.
Threats
There are no known threats to this species - plants occur in sheltered rock habitats.
Population

In spite of this species' sheltered rocky habitat being quite common on the Cape Peninsula, it is extremely rare, occupying only a very small fraction of the available habitat. Plants occur in small, isolated clumps of fewer than 50 mature individuals, and the total population is estimated to be fewer than 250 mature individuals (N.A. Helme, pers. comm. 2012).
