Subpopulations on lowlands in the southern part of this species' range are threatened by habitat loss and degradation as a result of agricultural and urban expansion. Very little suitable habitat remains, and loss continues. Northern subpopulations are not threatened. |
Population |
This species is becoming rare on the Western Cape lowlands in the southern part of its range due to ongoing habitat loss, but further north it is still very common.
