Description
Plants grow in steep, south-facing rocky slopes.
Threats
Communal rangelands in the vicinity of Steinkopf are heavily overgrazed, leading to a loss of shrub cover and species diversity. As the distribution range of this species is not known, it cannot be determined whether this threat is impacting the species or not. It is also potentially threatened by illegal collection of wild plants for the succulent trade.
Population

This species is only known from the type, collected at an undisclosed locality in the vicinity of Steinkopf in 1993, and no other collections have yet been matched to the description. As the whereabouts of this species is unknown, it is not possible to determine its range size or population trend.
