Quartz flats.
Threats
This species is threatened by urban and agricultural expansion, habitat loss to mining and possibly collection by succulent collectors (N.A. Helme pers. comm. 2014).
Population

This species is very common on quartz flats on the Knersvlakte north of Vanrhynsdorp.
