Justification
This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 2000 km², three known locations continue to decline due to expanding crop cultivation, urban expansion and alien plant invasion. It is therefore assessed as Endangered under criterion B.

Description
Plants grow in lowland sand fynbos.
Threats
Urbanisation is a severe past threat and is still ongoing around Yzerfontein. Around Malmesbury agriculture has been noted as a threat. Aliens are a severe ongoing threat at all locations.
