Justification
Acmadenia baileyensis is a highly localized species, known from a single subpopulation within an Extent of Occurrence of 6 km². It however has no severe threats and is therefore not suspected to be in danger of extinction.

Acmadenia baileyensis is endemic to the upper northern slopes of Bailey's Peak in the Rooiberg Mountain near Calitzdorp in the Little Karoo.
