Range
This species is widespread along the northern boundaries of South Africa, from the Lebombo Mountains to Musina, north of Rustenburg to north of Upington. It also occurs in Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

Description
It occurs in dry open sandy places in seasonal streambeds, along roadsides and among rocks.
