Justification | A range-restricted species known from a very limited area near Nieuwoudtville which has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 46 km². It occurs in dolerite outcrops and is not threatened by crop cultivation at present as it is protected by the rocky, inaccessible nature of its habitat. It is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1 Criteria, globally, as Least Concern but is nationally categorised as Rare. |
