Justification
A rare, range-restricted and poorly known species last collected in 1950. Known from only five collections, two from the Swartkops River Valley between Port Elizabeth and Uitenhage are likely to be extinct due to urban expansion. Locality descriptions on other collections from the Grahamstown area are too vague to make an assessment of its status.
