It is known from six locations and is potentially threatened by livestock trampling, droughts and alien invasive species, but does not qualify for a threatened category. It is therefore assessed as Least Concern. |

This species is threatened by past urban developments along the coast and by agriculture and the habitat continues to degrade due to livestock trampling. It is likely to be threatened by competition from alien invasive plants and severe droughts. |
