Distribution |
Endemism | South African endemic |
Provincial distribution | Northern Cape, Western Cape |

Some subpopulations have been lost to crop cultivation. Alluvial flats are sought after for crop cultivation in this arid part of the country, and there is ongoing, sporadic expansion of crop fields. |
Population |
Plants of Lachenalia whitehillensis are solitary or occur in small groups. It is known from eight locations, but it is likely that more subpopulations exist as the majority of this species' habitat remains intact, and it has not yet been thoroughly explored.
