EOO <1200 km², known from three or four locations. Declining due to coastal development and alien plant invasion.

Description
Lowland fynbos in full sun situations on sandy coastal flats or gentle slopes.
Threats
Subpopulations in the Kleinmond area are under threat due to housing development. It has already declined due to the housing development and decline is ongoing. Alien plants threaten the Shaw's Pass and Baardscheedersbos subpopulations.

Plants occur as widely scattered individuals.

Notes
Plants are fairly rare with a restricted distribution. It was first collected from Kleinmond, but has since been found on Houw Hoek Pass, as well as at Bot River and beyond at Baardscheerdersbos, the most easterly collection. (Duncan 1998).
