Lachenalia framesii occurs in large colonies, is widespread and not declining.

Description
This species occurs on quartz fields on rolling plains, flats, hillsides and ridges. Mature fruits split open and seeds are dispersed as it is blown away. Flowers are pollinated by honey bees.
