Adromischus leucophyllus is a widespread, but rarely recorded species that is possibly overlooked. There are no known threats to its habitat, and therefore it is not suspected to be in danger of extinction. It is listed as Least Concern.

This species is endemic to South Africa, and is found in the Little Karoo, from Robertson and Montagu to Laingsburg to the northern slopes of the Klein Swartberg near the Gamka Poort Dam.

Description
It occurs in shallow soils in shaded rocky crevices on high mountains topped with quartzite.
