Justification
Known from a restricted range (EOO 270 km²), all recent records in South Africa have been collected from within the Maphungubwe National Park. It has historic records from outside of the park these areas need to be surveyed to determine if this species still occurs outside of protected areas.

Description
Various habitats within mopane bushveld, including rocky hillsides and clay flats.
Threats
All recently collected records for this species within South Africa are within a protected area. The situation of subpopulations in Zimbabwe is not known, but the area appears untransformed on satellite images (Google Earth). According to Balkwill, 1996 it only recorded from Sentinel Ranch in Zimbabwe. Balkwill, 1996 also notes that it does occur on clay flats that have been transformed to crops. Crop cultivation is a past threat to South African populations.
