Range
This taxon occurs from the Blouberg and Soutpansberg in northern Limpopo, southwards to the Wolkberg and Mpumalanga escarpment as far south as Graskop. It also occurs in Zimbabwe and Mozambique.

Description
It is localized to the margins of forest patches in montane grassland and along streams on east- and south-facing slopes.
Population

It is usually found as solitary plants, but may proliferate in disturbed areas such as firebreaks (Stirton 1989).
