Justification
Lampranthus bicolor is a widespread species with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 25 355 km². It is still a very common species, in spite of extensive habitat loss on coastal lowlands, and it still occurs at more than 20 locations. Although this species is declining, is not yet in danger of extinction, and is therefore listed as Least Concern.

It is also declining due to coastal development over most of its range, but still occurs at at least 22 locations, many of which are not threatened (N.A. Helme pers. comm. 2011).
